Vintage floor lamp

Italian floor lamp from the late 1970s or 1980s, distinguished by its spiralling cord wound deliberately around the stem from base to shade, turning a functional necessity into a decorative detail. The conical shade directs light upward, filling a room with soft, ambient warmth. A single diagonal rod runs in counterpoint from base to shade, lending the composition an understated tension.

overall in good vintage condition considering its age, but has some spots on the metal as pictured.
