Floor lamp with dome shade, 1970s by Staff

A tall, clean-lined floor lamp by Staff with a white [opaline glass / acrylic] dome shade on a slim chrome stem. The lamp is height adjustable, and the shade tilts, so you can set the light exactly where you need it. A black coiled cable runs down the stem and gives the lamp its graphic, slightly playful look. It stands on a heavy black open oval base.

Lit, the dome gives a soft, warm glow with a direct downlight from the open underside. It works as a reading lamp next to a sofa or as a sculptural accent in an empty corner.

Good vintage condition with honest signs of age. The base shows scratches and worn patches in the black finish, and the chrome has light marks and small spots of wear. The shade has small spots and scratches, All visible in the detail photos.
